Brian duffy

Brian is a glass designer and maker with a Masters in Contemporary and Applied Arts. He works from his studio based in an old ‘tin’ chapel at the foot of Caergwrle Castle in North Wales.

He began working with glass on industrial scale and was fascinated by the way light interacted with stacks of glass. It is this memory of repetition, motion and small items en-masse combined with the desire to explore light and reflection that has become a central theme in his work.

He uses the process of grounded-theory for developing his work, where one creation informs the next.
