End Times Pottery Club
End Times Pottery Club is a ceramic studio co-founded by British ceramicists Nell Chamberlain and Matt Latchford. Working both individually and in occasional collaboration, they create irreverent, darkly playful ceramic work.
Beginning their ceramic practice in early 2024 their work draws on backgrounds in design, illustration, and character creation.
Blending traditional pottery with a contemporary sensibility, Nell creates wheel-thrown ceramic vessels — many of them lidded — alongside sculptural pieces that sit between creature and object. Rooted in surreal animal and human forms, her work combines humour, gothic undertones, and intricate surface decoration to create objects that feel both strange and familiar. A background in large-scale mural design informs a strong sense of form, composition, and character.
Matt creates hand-built sculptural forms informed by fantastical human and creature-like anatomies. With a passion for myth and fantasy, he draws on a background in character design, animation and illustration to create ceramic works that combine detailed ornamentation with a subtle, disquieting presence.
Whether working collaboratively or independently, their practices exist within a shared world of ideas — playful, satirical, and always slightly off; never taking themselves too seriously, even at their darkest.
