Jenny was born in London and studied Fine Art at The Central School of Art and Design, following a two -year pre diploma course at Ealing School of Art. She then moved to Wiltshire where she lived for many years until re-locating to Trelogan in North Wales in 2018. She had the honour of being accepted as an Associate Member of the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art in 2023.

Jenny enjoys the technical aspect of printmaking and her speciality is mainly in the medium of linocut. She likes the immediacy of cutting directly into the block and layering on of colour. Inspiration and ideas come directly from her sketchbooks which are treated much as a visual diary with sketches, notes and comments on the day. She returns time after time to the same place making drawings until the scene becomes part of her visual memory. Rather than being a direct recording of a scene, the resulting prints are the distillation of an idea, a visual story using the sketchbooks as a starting point for shapes and colours. Memories of special places and walking in the landscape absorbing colours, marks and patterns in the fields, all make their way into the finished images.
