Julian brasington

Julian Brasington works in print, dry media, and verse. Drawn to the how of things — their origins, moment, dissolution — his work is characterised by screens, inscriptions, a monochrome palette and an emphasis upon the mark. He presses his prints with a baren and silver spoon.

Born in Bethesda, Julian studied at the Welsh School of Architecture, the University of London, and Aston University, and worked in publishing, social work, and academic development before turning to printmaking. He has shown at Mall Galleries, the Royal Cambrian Academy, Oriel Mostyn, and been published in the national press and in journals and anthologies. He lives in Llanfairfechan.
