Dengie by Paul Bailey

£650.00

48 × 58cm, Acrylic

Paul's career started as an apprentice illustrator for a respected company in Central London and he moved into graphic design. A decade ago, he and his family moved to Mid Wales and he started exploring the spectacular coastlines of West Wales and the back country of Mid Wales, including the Marches, and these landscapes have been Paul's major source of inspiration since. He also has a deep fascination with people and the conveyance of mood and thought, so alongside the landscape Paul produces portraits and figurative work too.

Paul fuses his original inspiration (comic book, graffiti), his experiences in the print graphics industry and his willingness to experiment with the acrylic medium and this has created a unique style which is instantly recognisable and admired.

Paul's dynamic, experimental, semi-abstract paintings and openness to share his knowledge, has led to further opportunities to run workshops with respected organisations across England and Wales, teach with a prestigious online art school and eventually led the publication of his book: Experimental Nature in Acrylics: Our Landscapes.
